Email ushered in the era of the cheap electronic business card, which comes in the form of your signature at the bottom. All you need is your name and phone number but the real hotshots include their title, particularly if it's anywhere in the VP ballpark; often these high ranking execs work at a company with ten or fewer employees. Perhaps more irritating are the bogus titles for people with "different" jobs, such as engagement or - and I actually saw this - chief excitement officer.
